A little more about this Button…

Rachel Button is a British singer, Songwriter, fiddle player and vocal coach. She is at the forefront of the British folk music scene and has been privileged to perform at The Royal Albert Hall, The Roundhouse, Kensington Palace and The Great British Folk Festival. Rachel’s music swept her across the atlantic to North America where she lived in Nashville and Vancouver for 5 years.

Upon moving to Nashville, TN, Rachel recorded with Grammy award-winning producer Paul Worley (Lady Antebelum, Dixie Chicks) and Juno award winning producer David Kalmusky, (Journey, John Oates, Emerson Drive) and recorded backing vocals for the duet ‘Life On The Line’ with country artists Darius Rucker and Fiona Culley.

Rachel recorded her second EP ‘Long Way Round’ with Grammy nominated producer Bobby Holland at Pentvarit studios, Nashville, T.N. in June 2015 and her new single Always Gonna Haunt Me is available on all digital platforms from 3rd September 2018 and the physical is available at Rachel’s live shows.

Rachel collaborated with fellow British country artist Fiona Culley and Canadian artist Ashley Robertson, song writing and performing in the UK, Canada and USA. Their song ‘Heatwave’ was nominated for ‘Best Song of The Year 2015’ at the Manitoba Country Music Awards.

With a Masters degree from the London College of Music, Rachel has 9 years experience as a vocal coach including Europe’s leading music school, BIMM London, led vocal master classes nationwide at Academy Of Music and Sound and developed a Popular Music Vocal Course for Langley Community Music School in BC, Canada.

Rachel has played violin since she was 4 years old through the Suzuki method. She studied fiddle with Deanie Richardson in Nashville and continues to record with artists and was a member of LCMS Fiddlers in BC, Canada. Rachel incorporates her fiddle into her own music, fusing her love of folk with contemporary vocals.
